Discovering Sardinia
Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, it is an Italian Autonomous Region, it has its own language (only the elderly still speak it) and it is one of the most ancient bodies of land in Europe. Its history from prehistoric times to today is a complex one, ethnologically diverse, culturally unique. It is a beautiful and mysterious place, with wild nature, incredible habitats, neolithic monuments and refined architecture. It has the most gorgeous beaches in the world, the food is amazing and the people are truly kind. I have been visiting Sardinia every year in the past 10 years and little by little I am getting to know it better. So much is left to be seen but here is a peek into what I have experienced this past visit.
